Outstanding Accomplishments for Two Members of our Organization!
The Center for Psychological Services is proud to acknowledge our distinguished associates who have recently been honored for their dedication, commitment and expertise in the field of Psychology.
Charna Axelrod, Ed.D., is the 2006 recipient of the Janet L. Hoopes award given by the Pennsylvania Branch of the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) serving Pennsylvania and Delaware.
IDA is an international organization that concerns itself with the complex issues of dyslexia. IDA supports and encourages interdisciplinary studies and actively promotes research-based knowledge, effective teaching approaches, and related clinical educational intervention strategies for people who experience problems in learning.
Eve Orlow, Ed.D., has been appointed by Governor Rendell to be a member of the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology. The State Board regulates the practice and licensure of psychologists in the Commonwealth. The Board passes upon the qualifications of applicants for licensure, and determines whether to issue, deny, suspend, revoke, restrict, or renew licenses for psychologists. In addition, the Board promulgates a code of ethics for psychologists in the Commonwealth.
We congratulate Charna and Eve for their accomplishments and are proud to have them in our organization.
